A Warm and Cozy Christmas at the Garden Bug

Friday, November 10, 2017
Always a favorite stop on our visits to Amsterdam, the Garden Bug is brimming with beautiful home accents, delicious baked goods, warm hospitality and colorful and fresh greenery.  It's thanks to Char and Steve Brown, the Garden Bug's hard-working owners, that I've come to love the countryside in Montgomery County.  This weekend is their annual Christmas Open House and I got a sneak peek today!   You won't want to miss it.  Here's a taste of what awaits you in every nook and cranny of this beautiful, restored and recently expanded barn!
I'm pretty sure Santa takes a little break to sit a spell here on Christmas Eve.

That cardinal photo....I resisted.  But O...M...G!!!!

The mason jars with included LED lights.....so cute!

These baskets are amazing and huge.  What a nice change from Kissing Balls!

Whether you're looking for some new additions to your own decor or shopping for gifts, the Garden Bug has something (many things) to make your heart happy.   If you see something in the photos you've got to have.....don't delay.  Things sell fast this weekend!  Getting to the Garden Bug is a quick and easy drive out the thruway to Amsterdam or even out Route 5 or 5S to Fort Hunter Road.   The scenery is gorgeous, and Char and Steve are the sweetest.  Don't forget to say 'Hi' to Hunter too.   Did you notice him in the photos?   Hint:  he's lying in the sun.  Thanks for reading.  I hope you caught Part 1, featuring Faddegon's Nursery.  Stay tuned for many more shops including, Experience in Schenectady, Blue Bird Home Decor, Crow Cottage, Chatham Flowers and the Speckled Hen and more.  Didn't want to spoil the mystery, but now you know how much lighter your piggy bank will be ;)   Don't forget to share today's post using the social media links below!
