Located in the Hudson River Valley, south of Greenwich and east of Cambridge, Easton is an agricultural region with over 30 farms. With the autumn color, I was completely overtaken with awe. Just past the election, you might find it interesting (or may already know) that Susan B. Anthony spent her formative years in Easton. At age 13 she joined the Eastern Society of Friends and at 17 she taught school in Easton for $1.00 a week. Easton is also the birthplace of celebrated primitive artist, Grandma Moses and George Corliss, inventor of the Corliss steam engine. Driving through Easton today, one can imagine those folks living here and it appears not much has changed since their day. I think that's part of it's charm. See if you agree..........
