It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year ... at the Apple Barrel

So....we still have a couple of weeks until Thanksgiving, but for many that weekend begins the start of the Christmas season.  It's hard to believe we are that close to the start of decorating, gift lists, shopping, stressing.....but before we know it the day will be upon us.  Some of you don't want to think about it yet and others can't wait!  So at the risk of chasing anyone away, today I begin what last year was one of my most well received series.....a series featuring some of your favorite shops and their holiday offerings.  If you're resistant to thinking about the upcoming holiday, I'm pretty confident today's post will nudge you in the appropriate direction!
I begin this series at a shop I've been visiting for over 20 years - one that's evolved, expanded and gotten better and better each year it's been around.  Although they feature all sorts of goods for your year-round enjoyment - their seasonal merchandise is always my favorite.  I'm talking about the Apple Barrel in Schoharie, NY.  Take a look at just 'some' of their seasonal merchandise....

These next few photos are perhaps my favorites this season - I could have easily come home with one of each, but I was armored with discipline and didn't buy any.

Now tell me that doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit??   Take a ride to Schoharie soon and while you're there, be sure to have lunch in the cafe where everything is hot, fresh and delicious.  In addition to seasonal offerings, you'll find a toy room filled to the brim with unique gifts for the children on your list, clothing and accessories for the women in your life, gourmet foods and beautiful jewelry including my favorite acquisition - the Giving Keys.  Be sure to check 'em out!
