It wouldn't be Christmas on the blog if I didn't include the store that puts the "MERRY" in Merry Christmas. That store is the insanely popular, Speckled Hen. It's unlikely that anyone following my blog isn't already familiar with the Hen, but not including it in my shop series would be missing one of my favorite annual traditions.
John and I took a drive to Schenectady today to visit the Schenectady County Historical Society's Festival of Trees (stay tuned for that post), followed by a drive through the Stockade and finished our outing with a visit to Maureen at the Speckled Hen. Looking more festive than ever, I quickly remembered why a trip to the Hen is always on my list of Christmas traditions. You'll understand why when you scroll through the photos.......
Look at these candles (above)! They are so gosh darn realistic! And they work with a remote, 2 AA batteries and have a timer for 6 or 8 hours! You should see them in red! Gorgeous! What I love about the Speckled Hen is that you can get everything you need in one place....a candle holder, a candle and a candle ring....all lovingly curated by Maureen if you feel inadequate in coordinating it yourself! Now that's personal shopping at its finest!
