Enjoying One Last Hoorah with Old Man Winter in God's Country

Sunday, March 4, 2018

What is it they say?  When life hands you lemons...... My version of that might go something like this...."When Mother Nature gives you one more blanket of white stuff, get out there and savor it."  We did that, both yesterday and today...yesterday to Easton and today to Glen and Amsterdam NY, both destinations we frequent in all seasons, both I deservedly refer to as God's country.  There's nothing quite as heavenly as miles and miles of open space blanketed in fresh, clean, white snow.

I know most of you are over the whole winter thing and are anxious to get on with Spring, but you can't deny how pretty the country looks covered in the white stuff!  Spring will get here.....eventually, and when it does I'll be out there capturing it in all its newborn beauty, fresh and clean and full of promise.  In the meantime, though, I'm saying a little thank you prayer for this last hoorah and the opportunity to capture one more chapter of winter.  If you're new to the blog and love these scenes, you can see the same views during warmer seasons:
There're many more posts of Fulton and Montgomery on the blog.  All of them can be found in the Directory under the category, Destination-New York.
Thanks for stopping by Life As I See It.  The world we live in is often clouded by sadness, tragedy, negativity and sometimes feels hopeless.  Sometimes it helps to take a moment, breathe deeply, look around and remind ourselves what a really beautiful world we live in.  Despite the anger and hatred that fills the news, mostly we are surrounded by loving, caring, compassionate people.  Focus on them, pray for them, thank God for them and pray for those who don't seem so loving.  They need it.
