It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year - at the Speckled Hen

Wednesday, November 11, 2015
Well, I promised you more holiday inspiration and I know you'll love today's installment because every time I blog about the Speckled Hen, my post views go through the roof!  How could I not include it, right?   The Speckled Hen is for sure one of your favorite shops and definitely one of mine, filled with home decor that is comfort food for the soul!

This is my first year seeing The 'Hen' at the holidays.  I've loved it in spring and again in fall, and as I expected, Maureen Culver's knack for putting together the perfect vignettes is evident everywhere you turn in this enchanting shop.  From vintage Santa's to realistic greenery and mischievous elves, Christmas has come to Scotia and is living in the Speckled Hen.

Everyone's favorite - the sunroom - always filled with warmth and cheer and oozing with personality, if there was an empty chair and a cup of coffee, I'm pretty sure shoppers would just sit a spell and savor the mood for a while.

From the moment you enter the Speckled Hen - Maureen's porch greets you with hospitality - a preview of what awaits you inside......beautiful merchandise, a warm, cozy atmosphere, and the most welcoming hospitality.......you find it all and more.

Vintage signs are made by a local artist - aren't they beautiful?
The look on this guy's face resembles mine every time I visit the Hen!

If you think you've seen it all.....think again!  Maureen has so much more just waiting to hit the shelves!  Even she can't believe how much more!!!
Even Lisa, the resident kitty, is staying out of the way while more and more fun merchandise fills the space she calls home.

Stop in soon and get into the holiday spirit.  If you don't find it here, you won't find it anywhere!
And mark your calendars for the Speckled Hen's Holiday Open House, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 27, 28 and 29th - Food, Drink and Door Prizes. For hours and directions, and to follow the Speckled Hen on Facebook, use the link provided below.  And there's still a little time to make your donation to Ainsley's Angels.....Maureen will be matching all donations up to $1000 for this great cause.  To read more about it, check out the last post on the Speckled Hen: http://www.lifeasiseeitphotography.net/2015/09/embrace-autumn-with-visit-to-speckled.html

Thanks for reading and come back soon for more holiday inspiration at Life As I See It.  Please tell Maureen you saw her here and use the links at the end of this post to share this with a friend!
